Suzyo Bavi

Mr. Bavi completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. Having worked in a variety of hospital, Post-secondary institutions, First Nation communities, and private healthcare settings, Mr. Bavi has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults seeking treatment for problems related to ADHD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder as well as mental health difficulties. He uses an integrative approach which draws from evidence-based psychological interventions in order to treat a range of problems. 


Mr. Bavi has worked extensively in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders including the management of persistent mental illness, using different techniques and approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT); Trauma Therapy, and Talk Therapy. 


Suyzo is committed to help you, listen, and guide you through any issues or problems that you may be facing. He is passionate about helping individuals who struggle with mental health.

Rates and insurance:

  • Fees for mental Health services are not currently covered by OHIP but fees may be covered partially or in full through your extended health benefits/Insurance. You are encouraged to find out what mental health benefits your insurance policy offers.
  • For individuals of First Nation ancestry who are registered under the Indian Act,  mental health counseling is covered by Medical Services Branch/Non-Insured Health Benefits (NHIB).
  • Fees: $150 per hour
